APSSPL Wins India’s First Purchase Order for a Cyber-Secure CCTV System from CLW
A. Paul Software Systems Pvt. Ltd. (APSSPL) has achieved a historic milestone by securing India’s first-ever Purchase Order for a Cyber-Secure CCTV System from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) — a project that redefines standards for digital security and surveillance in Indian Railways.
This tender had been floated three times due to its exceptional technical complexity and multi-layered certification requirements. It demanded end-to-end cybersecurity compliance, advanced encryption, and certifications under RDSO SPN/TC/106 Rev 3.1, along with STQC validation and EN compliance — setting one of the toughest benchmarks for any railway electronics system in India.
For APSSPL, a 100% indigenous design and manufacturing company, this achievement stands as proof that Indian engineering can match global standards in both technology and reliability. Every subsystem — including the camera firmware, network video recorder, and VMS software — has been conceptualized, developed, and certified entirely in-house, with no dependence on foreign OEMs.
This win is not just a contract — it is a defining moment for Indian self-reliance in railway surveillance technology. The CLW order paves the way for the wider rollout of the cyber-secure CCTV system across other Railway Production Units and Zones, establishing a benchmark that is already inspiring others to follow.
As Pawandeep Singh Behl, Founder and Director of APSSPL, stated:
“This is a proud moment not only for our team but for Indian Railways and the entire domestic electronics ecosystem. Winning India’s first order for a fully indigenous, cyber-secure CCTV system reinforces our belief that Indian technology can lead — not just compete.”
