Railway operations require a post facto investigation of operational incidents for safety audit. Optitech Crew Voice and Video Recording System (CVVRS) for Locomotives is a high-reliability black box recording system based on Optitech’s PICCU EN50155 Railway Compute Platform. Its embedded audio enhancement algorithms enhance human speech by upto 12 dB over a background machine noise as high as 85dB. CVVRS systems Video Analytics identifies hot spots in catenary line pantograph interaction through spark detection while the Driver Alertness Monitoring software ensures an alert plot preventing SPAD and drowsiness
