The Optitech system leverages our acclaimed PICCU platform, integrating passenger information display and announcement, CCTV surveillance, driver, guard, and passenger communication, and infotainment, all on a unified platform, sharing a common redundant ring Ethernet backbone. Every component of the system has been systematically planned for 100% redundancy, giving your trains a highly reliable ITS solution. Yet, hardware and network components are shared by various subsystems, enabling a cost-efficient solution without a compromise in reliability.

It seamlessly integrates other Optitech offerings on the same network and platform, that is, CDMS (Remote Monitoring of Air Conditioning System), wheel and bearing health monitoring, and bogie hunting.

The system’s communication gateway, the TCU (Train Control Unit), routes operational data of the TCMS bus and comfort system network to Optitech’s cloud-hosted remote monitoring software (RMS). This enables you to remotely monitor your entire train’s equipment and manage its configurations, information, and CCTV data porting and reporting using Optitech’s RMS cloud software and its user-friendly mobile app.
